Library is an area separated from the other modules of the ERP in that it is in itself a Mini-ERP. It has got its student list, it has its book list and list of other media, there is a system to access any book or media, there is a late fine assigned, there is a unique number called accession number for books, there are set rules for teachers and students. And overall it is not dependent on the rest of the modules for any data or calculation.

Library is a concise science and highly data centric where precise location of an item is of prime importance. The search for a subject could take hours if it is not maintained in a proper and methodical manner. That is why more than the books itself, it is the method of searching for them which is given more importance because of the huge volume.

The library management module of School ERP is a dynamic module wherein entry of new books and resources need not be done manually in the system and instead can be downloaded directly from web saving a lot of time, effort and errors made while doing so. Overdue books report, damaged books report, fine collection, intimation to holders of due books, printing of accession no in barcode form which are scannable, etc are the facilities available to the Librarian. The parents too can browse the school library online, check various books by title or author and also reserve the book if it is in circulation for their ward.

Nascorp School ERP has a highly efficient and easy to use system for Library where every aspect of Library is designed in such a way that with little training the system could be integrated in the school. Each book’s accession number is converted to bar code which is then pasted on the book, similarly each student’s admission number is also converted to Bar code and is printed on the student Identity card. For the librarian to issue a book, all that she has to do is scan the book bar code and student id card barcode and immediately the book is issued. Same is the case while returning the item. The parents can view what book has been issued by their ward. Students can scan the entire library online with the help of their school app and then reserve the book of their choice which can later be issued by the librarian. Rules of library can be different for students and teachers; whereas students can be issued one book per week, teachers can be issued more than one. The time period for which the students can retain the resource can be different from that of the teachers.

Not only that the number of libraries can also be different for different wings such as Junior Library, senior library and so on. And the process of addition of a resource is also quite unique in Nascorp School ERP; instead of entering all the data of the books manually the librarian can download all the data on the book from the web by simply typing the title of the book or the ISBN number in the book search bar. This ensures that the data downloaded has no spelling errors or other informational deficiencies.
